Encouraging words of wisdom

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres...

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love.

But the greatest of these is love.”

Is faithfulness a dead concept? What do you think…?

Is faithfulness a dead concept? What do you think…?

Is faithfulness a dead concept?  We see people on the “Maury show,” “Jerry Springer Show,” and “Steve Wilkos Show;” it kind of makes you wonder-are there any faithful people left in the world?  We live in a world where marriage is no longer off limits and a ring on your finger has very little meaning except a pretty piece of jewelry.  You can tell someone that you’re married and their reply is, ‘what does that have to do with me?’  Betrayal of trust is an open concept that lovers don’t mind openly sharing to live audiences without hesitation.  They don’t care that it leaves their lovers to live with the humiliation and shame of knowing that the whole world is now aware of that betrayal.  Maybe that’s what the intent really is, to inflict harm; as much harm as possible before letting go of a lost or broken relationship.
I don’t think that you should need a ring to honor a promise of faithfulness.  Once you say that we’re together and in “a relationship” faithfulness should be a standard thing.  It comes with the title of “togetherness.”  You know when you start saying those “we” words or our; our apartment, our kids, our car, or we’re going, we’re doing, etc…  The problem is that most people don’t really know what a relationship is or the line has yet to be defined on the relationship.
I think that in the beginning of any relationship there should be an understanding; we’re just sex, or we’re exclusive, and we’re a couple.  Unfortunately, most people forget to establish these simple guidelines that eventually lead to painstaking revelations later on.  He says, “We were never in a relationship,” because to him it was just sex.  She says that “We were in a relationship for a year and a half.” This sort of thing happens all the time but can simple be avoided by having a one minute discussion that starts with, “are we in a relationship or is this just sex?”  Can you see how easy that was and it can so keep you from falling for Mr. or Mrs. Wrong.
What do you think?  Is faithfulness forever gone?  I mean really think about it; have you ever cheated on a relationship because if you have you’ve answered my question.  As always, I’m Lady PJ, much love to you all.

This year is almost over and soon we all will be yelling from the rooftop, “Happy New Year,” and saying goodbye to the old 2014.  I hope it’s been a happy and blessed year for you; as for me it’s been a very enlightening year.  I always like to look back at the year and see the things I’ve learned, what I’ve accomplished, the friends I’ve made, the things I’ve changed, and the things I’ve lost (and was forced to say goodbye to).
I can truly say that I’ve kept my real friends close to my heart, I’ve built a few blogs, I’ve learned some html coding, I’ve read a few books, discovered some of my limitations, mourned for some of my losses, and rediscovered my faith in God is still alive and well in me.  Even though I’ve been sick I still feel blessed because no matter my situation there’s always someone that has it worse and I pray for them.
For now I look forward to sharing the holidays with my family, laughing at a few corny jokes, dancing to the oldies, chilling out with my favorite artist (Billie Holiday) playing on the computer, working on my blogs, writing a few songs, and loving to my heart’s content.  It’s not extravagant at all but very simple I know but “what a life?”
Again, I’m your girl Lady PJ and I’m asking you to find the simple things in life to enjoy; you may find that they mean a lot more to you than you think.

American Actor and Comedian, Chris Tucker, will be performing live at the Civic Center in Mobile Alabama on November 8, 2014.  His performance has gotten very good reviews, on-line, from the audience and I think it’s a must see for anyone that loves comedy.  You can join him on Google + at the following link to find out what he’s doing and where he’s performing next:  https://plus.google.com/116525969499682780878/posts/gqmGBiqE5Wc.

He’s acted in movies such as Friday and Rush Hour, plus he’s done stand-up comedy for Def Comedy Jam in the 1990’s.  I completely loved him as Detective James Carter; the man has mad skills.  It doesn't hurt that he’s cute and funny; nice combination!  He’s a native of Atlanta Georgia -born August 31, 1971- and he has one child; a son.

This is what’s happening in our neck of the woods and if you don’t want to stay home November 8th, 2014 and be bored go get your laugh on at the Mobile Civic Center in Mobile Alabama.  Tickets can be purchased on-line at Ticketmasters:  http://www.ticketmaster.com/Chris-Tucker-tickets/artist/985154

If you would like to know more about Christopher Tucker please go to the following link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Tucker because information is power; as always keep informed.  I’m your girl, Lady PJ, much love!

I thought I would share a quote with you that a friend gave to me.

"Pain nourishes courage, you can't be brave if you've only had
                                         wonderful things happen to you."
                                                   Mary Tyler Moore

I encourage you to think of this quote the next time you're in pain and remember to be brave.  I know how difficult that can be but what choice do you really have?  I've asked myself that question many times; since I've been living with fibromyalgia.  I too tell myself to be brave and quite often mind you because I live in a constant state of pain.  I manage my pain by finding different ways to enjoy life and I try to laugh often.  I encourage you to do the same.  Much love to you all, as always I'm Lady PJ.

P.S.  Be Brave!

Silent Streets...

Silent Streets…

I believe that something’s are almost impossible to put to words, and the loss of a child is one of those things.  Our community is still reeling over the loss of 8 year old Hiawayi Robinson; the little girl that didn't have the opportunity to make it to her ninth birthday party.
We (this community) look at her pictures and we see our child smiling back at us; our little girl with attitude, charm, innocence, and beauty.
Now we’re all looking for answers from the Prichard Police Department and they in turn are silent.  It’s as if the case has gone cold before it even got started.  Why aren't the streets talking?  It talks any other time!  Why now is it silent?
Case in point; why did Hiawayi leave her home to go to a cousin’s house to get money from her Dad?  Why didn't he (her Dad) go take the money to her; where she was -at the time?  She was an eight year old child!  Plus, who was she going to the store with and who gave her the four dollars?  Did the Cops secure the money from the till just-in-case the ones were still in the store; a valuable piece of evidence may I add (if they did their job).
What I’d really like to know; “Is the father a suspect in this case?”  In light of recent events with these Father’s (Donald C. Spirit and Timothy Roy Jones Jr.) killing their children; I’d say it wouldn't be far-fetched to label him one; a suspect.  Who else knew she wanted to go to the store and get some candy?  Hum! Was there an insurance policy on Hiawayi and who benefits; sometimes it’s easier just to follow the money?
I saw on the news where the Police department raided his (her father) home and the home of his current girlfriend but was it enough?  I’ll tell you what!  I don’t believe in this drug deal gone wrong theory.  No drug dealer is going to purposefully bring that much heat and attention to their activities by killing an eight year old child.
But wait!  Is it just me or has the Mother been acting sort of odd?  I don’t recall one time during any of her interviews or time on camera that she actually asked for the killer to be caught or asked for justice for her child.
I’m just saying and if I’m wrong can someone please correct me.  I just feel like I want to see some anger from her.  Her child was murdered and most of the time I see her on the news smiling.  I would be screaming for justice on the rooftop of my house for my child and nobody would be able to shut me up.  How can she obtain such joy and peace inside after such a tragedy?
There are answers out there people but I believe the cops need to do a better job to find them.  I also believe that some of you can probably help; awaken these silent streets!  We need justice for Hiawayi.

This is your girl, Lady PJ, much love and peace.
