Don't forget to mediate today

I hold myself close now; just giving myself all the love I can muster.  I squeeze myself real hard.  Then I put a relaxation cd in the video player, walk over to the most comfortable place in the room, sit down, cross my legs, and close my eyes to relax; leaving all worry behind.  I block out all the doubt, all the self-hate, and all the pain.  I think of where I want to be.  I find a place where I would be whole and completely one, with the world around me. 
     Suddenly, I’m on this boat where the mainsail flaps freely from the mast, the water is crystal blue, and the wind carries little drops of water that are so refreshing on my face.  I’m moving through the sea, which holds the bluest of waters, and there’s nothing to stop me.  I ask myself, “Can I just stay here in this place of peace?”  Ultimately, I block out that doubt.
     I start to notice my breathing is quieter, and my mind is calmer.  I stay in this place a minute or two more before going on to the day before me.  Come take a journey in your mind and visit that place that gives you the most peace.  You can release that stress that’s held down deep and you can find that calm in the mist of the storm around you.
